During the May 25 Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) Board of Directors meeting, several individuals who serve the community were honored with service awards for their long-term commitment to Montgomery Village.

The Watkins Mill Fitness Park renovation is nearing completion and is anticipated to open in either late May or June 2023.

Montgomery County is starting pilot programs in several parts of the county to recycle food scraps for composting. Montgomery Village is within one of the areas being considered for the program. If enough households sign up, they will start doing it here.

MVF Board members, staff and Brightview join in planting a tree at Whetstone Community Center for Arbor Day. MVF has been designated a Tree City for 35 consecutive years. This national recognition is awarded by the National Arbor Day Foundation to honor commitment to forestry.

With the end of school around the corner, now is the perfect time to think about where your kids can explore summertime activities. MVF Summer Camps offer flexibility and variety so that not one minute of sunshine is wasted.
