A quick guide to MVF’s new digital Pool Pass system

Pool-Pass-Application-Page

The Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) launched a new digital Pool Pass system for the 2026 season. Residents are encouraged to use the free digital ePasses, which can be stored in a smartphone wallet for quick, convenient and environmentally friendly entry.

Below are answers to the most common questions we’ve received about the new process. We hope this helps make your pool season smooth and stress-free.

How do I apply for a Pool Pass?

  1. Apply online at Access Granted.
  2. Passes take 3-5 business days to be approved (staff must confirm the applicant is in good standing).
  3. Once approved, digital ePasses will be emailed and can be added to your phone wallet – no more waiting for them to arrive in the mail.
  4. Load the digital ePass to your phone, and you can now enjoy our pools. For information on how to access your ePass, check out Access Granted’s support page.

How do I enter the pool?

You may check in at the pool's front desk using the following:

  • Digital ePass on your smartphone wallet
  • Physical Pool Pass (costs $5 per pass annually and will be mailed directly to households)
  • 5-digit Pool Pass number (reach out to the MVF Office to get your 5-digit Pool Pass number)

What if I don’t want to bring my phone?

You can request a physical Pool Pass for $5 or simply remember your 5-digit pool pass number.

I have several people in my household. Do we each need to bring our pool pass?

People living in the same household are linked, so only one person needs to show their Pool Pass or present their 5-digit Pool Pass number. However, every person entering the pool must have a Pool Pass, including children under 10. Be sure to add all household members, including yourself, when applying. You can add household members in the “Patrons” section of the Pool Pass application.

What is the age policy?

  • Ages 16 and up: may bring up to 5 guests
  • Ages 13 to 15: may enter the pool without a guardian; cannot bring guests
  • Ages 12 and under: must enter with a guardian age 16+
    • The only exception are swim team members ages 10+ who may enter without a guardian during swim team practices.

Children must have their own Pool Pass. They may enter with another adult (e.g., a neighbor) as long as they have their Pool Pass or 5-digit Pool Pass number. A Babysitter Pass is also available (see below).

What are the different types of Pool Passes?

  • Designated Users (DU): Residents whose HOA dues include funding for MVF’s community centers, pools and courts. DU members have full access to all MVF-owned pools, and each household receives 25 Guest Pool Passes.
  • Non-Designated Users (NDU): Residents whose HOA dues do not include pool funding. NDU households may purchase single-entry passes for $6 per visit (must apply for a Pool Pass before being able to purchase single-entry passes).
  • Outside Pool Memberships: Available to individuals who live outside Montgomery Village.
    • Single: $570
    • Pair: $580
    • Family: $630

What special Pool Passes are available?

  • Babysitter Pool Pass: $50, allows a babysitter to bring up to three children (children must have their own Pool Passes).
  • House Guest Pool Pass: $20/week, for visiting guests staying over; this Pool Pass has an expiration date, and the guest will not be allowed to enter the pool after it expires.
  • Swim Team Pass: $50/swimmer, valid during swim team practices only; includes a child and parent Pool Pass.

Where are my guest passes?

Designated Users and Outside Members receive 25 guest Pool Passes once their application is approved. These Pool Passes will appear automatically when you check in.
