Making the most of summer in Montgomery Village
by Karen Kodjanian, MVF Interim Executive Vice President
Although summer is beginning to wind down, there's still plenty of time to enjoy everything Montgomery Village has to offer. From community events to the outstanding amenities, now is the perfect opportunity to connect with neighbors, spend time outdoors, and celebrate the vibrant spirit of our Village.
Summers at South Valley Park Concerts
Gather with family, friends, and neighbors for evenings of live music, laughter, and community connection. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, relax under the evening sky, and enjoy performances that make summer nights memorable. See you at The Reagan Years concert on August 29 at 7 p.m. at Gordon W. Bowie Music Pavilion, 19003 Watkins Mill Road.
Montgomery Village Farmers’ Market
Discover fresh produce, locally made goods, baked treats, and handcrafted items while supporting local vendors and small businesses. The MV Farmers’ Market is a place where residents can shop, socialize, and enjoy the best of the season.

There's no better time to take advantage of the amenities that make Montgomery Village such a wonderful place to live.
- Community Pools offer the perfect place to cool off, relax with family, or meet neighbors on sunny afternoons and weekends.
- Walking and Nature Trails provide beautiful spaces for morning walks, evening strolls, biking, and enjoying the natural beauty throughout our community.
- The Outdoor Fitness Park at Watkins Mill Recreation Area, 190501 Club Lake Road, makes it easy to stay active while enjoying the fresh air. Whether you're beginning a fitness routine using the outdoor equipment or maintaining an active lifestyle walking or jogging on the track, it's a great resource just steps from home.

Strengthening Our Community Together - Our events and amenities are more than just places to gather—they help build the connections that make the neighborhood feel like home. Every resident who attends an event, supports a local vendor, greets a neighbor on the trail, or volunteers at a community activity of course, contributes to a stronger, more engaged community.
Thank you to our volunteers, committee members, sponsors, staff, and residents whose enthusiasm and participation make these programs possible. Your involvement helps create a welcoming environment where neighbors become friends and community traditions continue to grow.
As we enjoy the final weeks of summer, we encourage everyone to participate in our upcoming events, explore our amenities, and take advantage of the many opportunities to connect with one another.
Check out our events calendar for the rest of this summer's exciting events!
