Thanks to all our volunteers in April

Often April is known as Earth Month and April 22 is Earth Day. During the month, the Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) hosted the annual spring Rake the Lake Event at Lake Whetstone and Girl Scout Troop 493 hosted their Girl Scout Earth Day Cleanup at South Valley Park. It was great to see such a great turn out for both events.

Rake the Lake, which is held multiple times throughout the year, had 34 volunteers and the Girl Scout event had over 20 volunteers. The volunteers were able to remove a lot of plastic bottles, cans, a scooter and other various trash from both parks. MVF is grateful for their efforts and truly appreciates all the hard work of our volunteers. Thank you to all residents and volunteers for helping keep our parks clean!
