KAREN MILLER
I have been a resident of Stedwick for 40 years, and my family and I have enjoyed the many advantages of living in this community. Having been recently appointed to the Stedwick Board of Directors, I have been taking a more active role in my neighborhood, providing feedback to both the board and my neighbors. I would like to contribute my interests and skills to maintain and grow our wonderful community. I believe that ascertaining residents’ needs, communication, having a needs-based budget, and working collaboratively with other board members and other interested parties are priorities. I consider having open and transparent decision-making essential. I will be mindful of the need to balance the aging infrastructure, residents’ needs and the budget. As our community ages, we need to be more vigilant in how it is managed and our resources wisely used.
MAUREEN WOOD-MORIN
For the past two years, I have enjoyed serving on the Stedwick Homes Corporation Board as the Treasurer. In addition to this position, I am a 38–year retiree of the Federal Government, working in the capacity of overseeing 20–30 employees’ personnel actions, workload and financial responsibilities. While small in comparison to other offices/agencies/departments, I oversaw and governed a $5 million budget, making sure that all the “checks-and-balances” in finances were stable. With your vote, I will continue to work with Management and the Board to ensure that we are acting in the interest of the Stedwick residents and the entire community.
