Montgomery Village Rotary Club keeps on giving

articles-652

Did you know your local Rotary Chapter has been raising money (more than $400,000) for local charities since 1982? Montgomery Village residents may not be aware that they can join the chapter and choose their own time commitment. This chapter is looking for new members so that our mission will continue in the future. The Montgomery Village Rotary Club makes substantial donations to more than 20 charities, including scholarships for students at Watkins Mill High School. There are three to four fundraising events each year, including the popular Flags for Our Heroes program (www.flagsforourheroes.org) each Memorial Day Weekend, now in its 9th year.

The MV Rotary Club meets via Zoom on Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., except the last Wednesday of each month when they meet at the same time at the Gaithersburg IHOP on Frederick Avenue. Anyone in business, professional service, retail, or sales positions could find it helpful to join the Rotary Club. Attendance is not mandatory for each meeting.
