Mercy Seat Chapel to host Angel Tre@t Toy Drive

Christmas-Tree-2-Online

The joy of Christmas is almost incomplete for kids without gifts, which are not affordable for some parents during the season. Mercy Seat Chapel (MSC) bridges this gap through its annual Angel Tre@at Toy Drive, a drive-through event that serves Montgomery County and plants smiles on the faces of so many children within the community.

On Saturday, Dec. 21, from 2:30 to 6 p.m. MSC, a parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (a nonprofit organization) located at 17604 Washington Grove Lane in Gaithersburg, will host its annual Angel Tre@t Toy Drive. This philanthropical act involves distribution of one free, age-appropriate Christmas toy for every registered child who is 0 to 12 years. A well-lit and beautiful Christmas scenery that recreates the Christmas story, gives a funfair ambience and a handshake with Santa to complete the package. This also gives the church an opportunity to spread the love of Jesus as the reason for the season. This event is free and open to the public.

Since 2014, MSC has been distributing free toys, sometimes up to 500 to local families. This project is funded through generous donations from organizations, church members, friends and families. MSC's target for 2024 is to spread the cheer to families who cannot afford toys for their children. For more information, visit www.mercyseatchapel.org.
