LGCS girls soccer team shines
The Living Grace Christian School (LGCS) Girls Soccer Team achieved a winning season of five wins, two ties and one loss this spring. There were only two seniors on the team this year, so the team is looking forward to next season with many returning players. The school’s sports program has a strong emphasis on the development of younger players. This growth is continuing from year to year. Anna Wong showed great versatility in various positions and netted five goals for the season. Senior captains Nicole Valdez (three goals) and Yohana Michael (solid defensive back) finished their high school sports careers with excellence. The team had nine players contributing to the scoring effort, including Alejandra Lievano, Deborah Holdbrook and Hannah Switzer. Lia Wong and Trinity Freeman were the anchors to the defense and played with great composure. The school is grateful for an excellent and fun season.
