Free community food pickup

articles-518

The Watkins Mill High School Wellness Center, in partnership with local nonprofit 480 Cares (founded by Montgomery Village resident Joseph Hooks), provides a weekly free food pickup for families in need in the community.

Residents are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturdays in the Montgomery Village Middle School Parking Lot, 19300 Watkins Mill Road, to receive fresh goods, including produce, poultry and baked goods. Drive through and walk ups are welcome, no appointment necessary; food is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. All participants are required to wear masks when picking up food.

This distribution is privately organized and is not a MCPS food distribution site.

Volunteers are welcome! All volunteers must wear masks and follow social distancing protocols. For more information or to volunteer, e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots.
