Congratulations to the LGCS Championship Spelling Bee Team


Living Grace Christian School (LGCS) participated in the ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) Spelling Bee on Thursday, Feb. 8 at Rock Church Academy in Baltimore.

Out of the school’s 16 contestants, 7 of them made the finals! In the finals, the LGCS students placed second and third! In the Final Spell-off of all the winners in the 5th through 8th grades, Shalom Worku took second place and Faith Robinson took third place.

The following are the LGCS Spelling Bee Team finishes in the Grade-level Spelling Bees: 
In Grade 5, First Place: Noah Girma
In Grade 6, Second Place: Hannah Leatherbury
In Grade 7, Third Place: Yahel Abraham, Second Place: Shalom Worku, and First Place: Faith Robinson
In Grade 8, Fourth Place: Perla Mangandi, and Second Place: Tyler Kadrichu.
