Volunteers needed to serve on MVF committees
Are you looking to get involved in your community? Do you have a few hours a year to help keep Montgomery Village moving forward? If yes, please consider applying for appointment to the Communications Committee, the Audit Committee or the Investment Committee.

Communications Committee
Currently, a few Montgomery Village resident volunteer members are needed for this committee, which meets on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. via Zoom Meeting, four times each year. The committee makes recommendations to the Board regarding MVF’s communications program, including Village News policies, marketing and branding, public information, social networking, website services and other communications issues.
A background, education or professional experience that includes marketing, journalism, technology, website management and/or construction, social media, communications, and print and online media is preferred. In addition, the applicant must be a resident in good standing of Montgomery Village.

Audit Committee
Currently, one or two Montgomery Village resident volunteer members are needed for this committee, which meets on Tuesday at 7 p.m. via Zoom Meeting, three times each year. This committee advises the MVF Board of Directors on financial matters and reviews the annual operating budget.
The committee reviews the format and presentation of the annual Audit and Budget, making recommendations to the Board for approval to ensure the documents are reasonably presented. It also recommends an accounting firm conduct MVF’s annual audit (every 3–5 years) and updates any financial policies as needed.
A background, education or professional experience in accounting, auditing, finance, business and/or management is preferred. In addition, the applicant must be a resident in good standing of Montgomery Village.

Investment Committee
Currently, three Montgomery Village resident volunteer members are needed for this committee, which meets quarterly on Mondays at 7 p.m. via Zoom Meeting. With help from MVF’s third-party Investment Advisors, this committee addresses and advises the MVF Board of Directors on matters specifically related to MVF’s investment activities.
The committee reviews quarterly investment performance, makes recommendations to the Board on investment strategy and policy, and approves investment transactions in line with the policy. Applicants should have a recent background, education or professional experience that includes expertise in investment management/banking. In addition, the applicant must be a resident in good standing of Montgomery Village. Certified Financial Advisors, Investment Advisors and Chief Financial Officers are encouraged to apply.
