TD&PF Committee reestablished; volunteer members needed

Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) is seeking community volunteers to serve on the newly reestablished Transportation, Development & Public Facilities (TD&PF) Committee. Prospective committee members should have a background, education or professional experience in planning and development or transportation issues and be invested in the future of Montgomery Village.

At the Feb. 27 MVF Board of Directors meeting, the Board unanimously voted to reestablish the TD&PF Committee. This committee previously advised the Board on transportation and development issues in and around the Village, such as M-83, and engaged the public for information sessions regarding the same. After completing decades of service, a severely reduced scope of work led to the committee’s disbanding in 2016.

Recently, a few previously thought defunct and new projects that would fit the general purview of the TD&PF Committee have presented some impacts to Montgomery Village. The Board seeks to appoint new volunteers to this committee to engage the community again and provide advice and guidance on transportation and development-related projects. Applicants should be Montgomery Village property owners or residents in good standing (current in assessments and no architectural violations).
