The Montgomery Village Foundation, Inc. (MVF) Board of Directors announced today their appointment of Mike Conroy as the new Executive Vice President (EVP), effective Saturday, April 1, 2023. Conroy will replace outgoing EVP David Humpton, whose last day with MVF is Friday, March 31, 2023, after 15-plus years as the organization’s leader and Chief Operating Officer.

Conroy was chosen after a months-long, nationwide search for the position was conducted by the MVF Board of Directors and facilitated by executive search firm Baker Tilly.

MVF Board President Scott Dyer said of the change, “Mike’s inspiring journey throughout his 17-plus years to date at MVF, from Multi Media Graphic Designer to Communications Manager, to his current roles as Assistant Executive Vice President and Director of Communications, speaks to his dedication to MVF, hard work and exceptional abilities to take on every challenge faced as an opportunity to grow, help others and improve MVF. MVF’s future is in good hands with Mike as our next EVP.”

Conroy began his career with MVF in April 2005, and has served in various communications roles including graphic designer, webmaster and department director, as well as photographing events and maintaining MVF’s social media. He is the staff liaison to the Communications, Nominating and Election committees, was co-liaison of the ad hoc 50th Anniversary Committee, and also serves as MVF’s Corporate Secretary. He has been the Assistant EVP since March 2017. During his tenure at MVF, Conroy has worked on several special projects; dedicated much time to the advancement of the organization; and has earned the CMCA, AMS and PCAM credentials, establishing himself as a leader in the community management industry.

Dyer also said, “Our thanks to current EVP David Humpton for his steadfast leadership at MVF for over 15 years, hiring, retaining and growing talent throughout the organization, along with efficiencies of operations and fiscal responsibility that transformed MVF into the exceptionally well-run organization it is today. Dave will be missed, but he leaves MVF and Montgomery Village a far better place for his years of service and dedication.”

Conroy remarked, “I’m excited for this new chapter with MVF, and am thankful to the Board for this opportunity. I look forward to many more years of keeping Montgomery Village and MVF moving forward, and continuing to build relationships in the community.”
