MCPS to enforce parking restrictions on school properties

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) within Montgomery Village have encountered vehicles illegally parked on school properties overnight on a daily basis. This has caused and continues to cause. hazards and a lack of parking for MCPS staff and visitors during school hours and throughout the evening for school functions.

As a result, MCPS will begin enforcement of their parking restrictions to prohibit parking to anyone other an MCPS staff and visitors at their respective school and no overnight parking at all. Any vehicles found in violation of the MCPS parking restrictions will be towed at the owner’s expense. MCPS will sticker and record vehicles in violation and provide owners with a period of 24 hours to remove their vehicles. Should a vehicle be a repeat offender, it will be towed without further warnings. It is MCPS' hope that residents will adhere to the restrictions to avoid further conflicts.
