Earlier this year, the Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) Board of Directors approved a new marketing campaign, “What’s Your Story?” to highlight residents, their accomplishments and investment in the Village. This campaign aims to connect residents and showcase the caliber of people we call our neighbors, through the use of digital content, videos and social media.

After months of prep and planning, the first in the video series “What’s Your Story?” is now available to view online at www.montgomeryvillage.com! In this initial interview, we put the spotlight on two long-time Village residents, Dick and Teresa Wright, who, over the last 46 years, have embraced every aspect of living in a planned community, and have been involved in community service the entire time. The Wrights detail how and why they came to find Montgomery Village, why they became so involved in the community, raising a family in the Village, and their hopes for the future of the community, among other fun anecdotes.

This new venture will identify and promote residents with a story to tell—their successes and achievements, and why they enjoy living in Montgomery Village. Residents will participate in a short video interview to be published via social media and the website, making it easy to share stories with friends, family and neighbors both locally and afar.

But we need your help! MVF staff is seeking volunteers to be interviewed who have a story to tell—a life-long Village resident; the newest family on the block; an artist who finds inspiration from the natural areas; the head of a successful start-up; a volunteer who is fulfilled through charitable works—the possibilities are endless! We want to highlight you!

If this sounds like you, send an e-mail synopsis of what you’d like to share to Assistant Executive Vice President Mike Conroy at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call 240-243-2331 to discuss.

As the campaign takes off, we hope to have areas at community events for residents to share stories on the spot, and will share criteria for resident-submitted content. We look forward to learning more about you, our neighbors, and sharing your stories with the community.
