Over the last several years, the Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) has run the “flourish” branding campaign to educate Village and county residents about all Montgomery Village has to offer. This campaign spanned five years and was well-received by the public. At the heart of the campaign was the “Flourish” magazine, which showcased all aspects of life in the Village, similar to the original Kettler Brothers’ marketing materials.

While the community waits for change and new development on commercial properties, it is time to delve a little deeper into one our greatest assets, our residents.

At the July 27 MVF Board of Directors meeting, the Board approved the next marketing campaign, “What’s Your Story?”, as proposed by the Communications Committee. This new venture will attempt to identify and promote residents with a story to tell, their successes and achievements, and why they enjoy living in Montgomery Village. Residents will participate in a short video interview to be published via social media and the website, making it easy to share stories with friends, family and neighbors both locally and afar.

But we need your help! MVF staff is seeking volunteers to be interviewed and share their stories. To launch the campaign, we are in need of residents who have a story to tell—a life-long Village resident; the newest family on the block; an artist who finds inspiration from the natural areas; the head of a successful start-up; a volunteer who is fulfilled through charitable works—the possibilities are endless! We want to highlight you!

As the campaign takes off, we hope to have areas at community events for residents to share stories on the spot, and will share criteria for resident-submitted content.  We look forward to learning more about you, our neighbors, and sharing your stories with the community.
