Local nonprofits can apply to a computer lab gifting program

Giving Back to the Community

The Montgomery County Students Information Technology Foundation, Inc. (ITF) will award a refurbished computer lab to a Montgomery County (501)(c)(3) non-profit organization. The lab will consist of six reconditioned desktop computers with operating systems, flat panel LCD monitors, keyboards, mice and one printer.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2025-2026 school year and can be accessed here. To be considered, completed applications must be received by Friday, Oct. 3, 2025.

Interested non-profit organizations must complete an application and agree to be publicity associated with the gifting of this computer lab. If chosen, a representative should attend the Gifting Ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025 at the Thomas Edison High School of Technology.

The ITF is a non-profit organization established cooperatively by the Montgomery County business and professional community and Montgomery County Public Schools. It provides unique, hands-on education for high school students at Clarksburg , Seneca Valley, and Thomas Edison high schools. Additionally, students have the ability to earn Student Service Learning Hours (SSL) and valuable CompTIA certifications to help prepare them for higher educational opportunities or direct entry into the information technology job market.
