Free photo exhibit: "Becoming Ourselves: Beauty and Happiness"

Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Montgomery Village (9801 Centerway Road) is hosting a free photo exhibit entitled, “Becoming Ourselves: Beauty and Happiness." This exhibit, created by photographer Gwen Andersen, is aimed at trans and non-binary youth. These photographs were selected by a group of trans and non-binary youth and represent joy and humanity in a world and time where we must be brave to embrace ourselves. Trans attendees are invited to donate joyful pictures of themselves. The photographs were contributed by photographers in London, San Antonio, Los Angeles, Baltimore and Montgomery County, Maryland.

The exhibit is available for viewing on these Wednesdays, September 11, 18 and 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays, Sept. 14, 21, 29 and Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, visit www.becomingourselves.org.
