Free community event: Exploring Brain Health and Dementia

While living with dementia or caring for someone with this disease can be challenging to navigate, individuals can turn to spirituality for understanding and hope. “Brain Health and Dementia” is a free event that will focus on the latest science of this brain disease, the stages and symptoms of dementia, and how spirituality can serve as a tool for connecting with those living with the disease and understanding that even as the mind is changing, the soul remains intact. This event will be on Saturday, Sept. 23, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Grace United Methodist Church (119 North Frederick Avenue) in Gaithersburg.
