Attention all juniors in high school who reside in Montgomery Village
As a high school junior, do you have an interest in serving your community and school, and representing the youth in Montgomery Village? The Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF) Board of Directors invites you to apply for the position of Student Representative in 2025. This collaborative program is intended to
- encourage more youth involvement and input within Montgomery Village activities and our community
- help bring a new perspective to Board decisions affecting the community
- assist in building on the MVF Board’s Strategic Goal of continuing partnership opportunities with Village schools.
All high school juniors who live in Montgomery Village are eligible to apply. The position will also include a paid summer internship (June to August) in the MVF Office. Selection will be made based on the applicant’s GPA, interest in government/political science/organization management/business, extracurricular activities, a letter of recommendation and availability for scheduled Board meetings.
The MVF Nominating Committee will review the submitted applications in early February and recommend no more than three candidates to the MVF Board for final selection. The selected candidate will be installed as a non-voting member at the Board’s Annual Meeting in March. The selected candidate will participate in Board discussions and initiatives; work with MVF staff on projects; and gain a clearer understanding of policy decisions in our community.
