Mercy Seat Chapel turkey giveaway is Nov. 23

As part of their commitment to serve their local neighbors in Montgomery County, Mercy Seat Chapel (MSC) of Gaithersburg is giving away free, fresh turkeys again this year to needy families who can't afford a turkey on their dinner table to complete the joy of Thanksgiving. This generous service to the community was established in 2015 and has been funded through generous donations from organizations, church members, friends and families. The giveaway helps spread the message that reminds recipients that difficult times do not last forever, but are only for a season.

MSC's goal for this year is to reach as many as 300 families with a free turkey. Area residents in need of a turkey should visit the MSC Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway event on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Mercy Seat Chapel, 17604 Washington Grove Lane, Gaithersburg, MD 20877.
