Championship ACSI Math Olympics Team at Living Grace
In March, Living Grace Christian School (LGCS) students, along with students from five other schools in Florida and North Carolina, competed (remotely) in the ACSI Math Olympics. In the 12 competitions of computation and reasoning, LGCS placed 24 of their students, including seven 1st place finishes. The following students placed as follows:
In Grade 3: Nathaniel Worku, computation, 1st place; Camille Sellevaag, computation, 2nd place; Eden Yeh, computation, 3rd place; Anagha Ezikpe, reasoning, 1st place; Santiago Lima, reasoning, 3rd place; Jabez Asfaw, reasoning, 4th place.
In Grade 4: Mark Faustino, computation, 3rd place; Joel Moulouangou, reasoning, 5th place.
In Grade 5: Phoebe Tewodros, computation, 1st place; Noah Girma, computation, 3rd place; Willem Griffioen, reasoning, 2nd place; Bethel Worku, reasoning, 5th place.
In Grade 6: Rylie Bautista, computation, 1st place; Camila Lima, computation, 2nd place (tied); Rachel Griffioen, reasoning, 3rd place; Jovanni Garcia, reasoning, 4th place.
In Grade 7: Shalom Worku, computation, 2nd place; Sophia Lievano-Bonilla, computation, 4th place; Yoel Fitsum, reasoning, 1st place (94% correct – gets a medal); Yahel Abraham, reasoning, 2nd place; Joy Moulouangou, reasoning, 4th place.
In Grade 8: Josiah Alemu, computation, 1st place; Tyler Kadrichu, reasoning, 1st place; Erika Parker, reasoning, 3rd place.
