Dick and his wife, Kathi, have lived in Montgomery Village for 42 years, 26 of which have been in the North Village. They raised their five children here, and now they have five grandchildren added to the clan. Dick is currently VP of the North Village Board of Directors where he has been on the board since 2018. He is also a member of BNI (Business Networking International) Capital Business Alliance Chapter. He was President of the BNI chapter in 2021.
He has been recognized by Smithsonian Board of Regents for Special Service to the Smithsonian Museum. He has won numerous creative awards. He was awarded lifetime membership of the American Marketing Association. He has degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill and Virginia Commonwealth University.
He is founder and president of Slice®Works, a marketing and digital design firm. Spanning a career of over 40 years, he and his team have repeatedly been recognized for their excellence. He has sharply honed his skills of creative direction for large branding campaigns, websites, publications, and integrated marketing for a variety of government agencies and local organizations.
Dick was responsible for designing the MV 50 Year anniversary logo in 2016. He also has won first and second place photography awards at the yearly MV art show. He enjoys sports, discovering new exhibitions at local museums, taking photography tours, reading books, studying scripture, traveling, and walking around the Village lakes meeting people.
