WMHS student’s poetry accepted for national publication
East Village resident and Watkins Mill High school student Zoey Dodge has had her poetry entry in the National High School Poetry Contest accepted for publication. Her poem, entitled “Dearest Country,” appeared in a recent edition of the American High School Poets “My World” anthology.
"My World" is a meaningful study of introspective poems written by teenagers from all over the country. It explores how today's teens view their world and where they see themselves fitting into today's complex moral and social issues. It is a quarterly publication and is published by the Live Poets Society of NJ in conjunction with “JUST POETRY!!!,” the national high school poetry quarterly magazine.
