Renovations completed at Apple Ridge Recreation Area Sports Courts

The Montgomery Village Foundation is pleased to announce the successful completion of the highly anticipated tennis court repairs, addition of pickleball courts, and renovations of the basketball court at Apple Ridge Recreation Area. During the renovation, the tennis courts underwent repairs to address existing wear and tear issues. The project involved resurfacing the courts to ensure a smooth and safe playing surface for tennis enthusiasts of all skill levels.

In addition, to cater to the growing popularity of pickleball and provide additional opportunities for players to enjoy the sport, one tennis court has been repurposed into two dedicated pickleball courts and two bring-your-own-net courts (with nets provided onsite).

A comprehensive refurbishment of the basketball court at Apple Ridge Recreation Area has also been completed. The basketball court underwent a thorough milling process, followed by resurfacing and painting to ensure a pristine playing surface. As part of the refurbishment, new basketball backboards and hoops were installed, offering an improved experience for basketball enthusiasts.
