All Montgomery Village Foundation Department of Recreation and Parks classes and programs, and all other activities scheduled to be held in MVF facilities, will be cancelled if Montgomery County Government is closed or in the event of sleet, ice storms or snow with an accumulation (or anticipated accumulation) of six inches or more. When the Montgomery County Government is closed, the Montgomery Village Foundation Office will be closed.

Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) Cancellations, Early Closing and Delayed Opening:
1.    When MCPS are closed for the day Monday through Friday, all MVF Department of Recreation and Parks classes and programs scheduled for that day will be cancelled.
2.    When MCPS dismisses school early and/or when after-school activities are cancelled, all afternoon and evening MVF Department of Recreation and Parks classes and activities scheduled to be held in MVF facilities will be cancelled.
3.    When there is a two-hour delayed opening of Montgomery County Schools, all Department of Recreation and Parks classes and programs that begin prior to noon, will be cancelled (except Seniors in Action which will meet at 10 a.m.).

Evenings/Weekends:
1.    When Community Use of Public Facilities (CUPF) cancels use of schools, all classes and activities in Montgomery Village Foundation facilities will be cancelled. Call 301-948-0110, ext. 6 for a recording of cancellation information.

Other Facility Users:
When schools are closed for the day and weather conditions improve dramatically, the Department of Recreation and Parks staff will make a decision at 2 p.m. regarding the re-opening of the centers for evening use by scheduled community organizations and facility users.

MVF reserves the right to cancel activities and close facilities early in the event of changing weather conditions.
