The last Rake the Lake event of the 2019 season was held at Lake Whetstone on September 28. The event had a fabulous turnout, with 46 people volunteering their time to help clean Lake Whetstone! This event drew scout groups, students, anglers and families and owes its continued success to the volunteers who spent their Saturday helping to clean up Lake Whetstone and the surrounding park.

Thanks to both BSA Troop 1988 and BSA Troop 1920 for all their hard work in and out of the water. We had an impressive group of 23 scouts helping. In addition, we had students from local middle and high schools, members of F.O.W.L., as well as individuals and families.

Keep an eye out in the Spring Recreation Guide for the spring cleanup date. This event is an excellent opportunity to help the environment and local community and a great way to earn some SSL hours!
