Lesley Lopez, Maryland General Assembly Delegate-Elect from District 39, will speak at the Saturday, Jan. 12 meeting of the Gaithersburg Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women). District 39 includes Germantown and Montgomery Village.
Lopez has been an educator and advocate for immigration reform, affordable healthcare and inclusive policies. She serves as head of global communications for the US-China Business Council, advocating for responsible trade policies that benefit American workers and companies. She is also an adjunct professor at George Washington University and an SEIU member.
The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the Rosborough Community Rooms of Asbury Methodist Village, 301 Odendhal Avenue, Gaithersburg; at the second stop sign turn left for parking and cross to the Rosborough Center (Building 409) for the meeting. Light refreshments will be served and all are welcome.
