Use your spring break to help out your community and earn up to 25 SSL hours! The Montgomery Village Foundation Department of Recreation and Parks is seeking motivated teens ages 14 to 16 to spend spring break learning skills related to outdoor work at recreation and park facilities. Volunteers will work from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, March 26 to Friday, March 30. Each day there will be a different project. Projects will include park cleanup, beaver mitigation, routine playground maintenance and more. Interviews for these limited volunteer positions will be held at the beginning of March.
Successful completion and good performance in this volunteer spring break program will lead to hiring preference for the six-week summer program.
